How Can severe Tension Headache Be Treated?

Hello I have just been put on pantoprazole to help with my gastritis about 3 days ago now. I have been experiencing the worst tension headaches recently and nothing seems to calm them. They hurt the most whenever i am lying down. Is this a normal side effect of the medication or should i seek immediate medical help as it is starting to worry me.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Paracetamol or Aceclofenac for pain relief. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
